This appears to me not to be a big problem. I am at the very same stage as you.

The Lakewood alignment procedures say divide the total indicator readings by 2. My chart says you would need dowel part # 15970.

This is the same dowel set that my engine/bellhousing needs.

We have the same engine/bellhousing/car combination.
