Ron, I have the same set-up. I also have the oil cooler feeding off of this. But I'm still confused on where you are mounting a thermostat? Shouldn't the thermostat be positioned so that the filter is still filtering in cold circulation mode, and then the filter still filters once warmed up? Again, I'm a little confused on how to hook-up the thermostat unit...seems to me that a remote oil filter unit with a built-in thermostat would be the hot ticket?
