Keep in mind that the Cobra is a very light vehicle and has a difficult time "hooking up", the tires typically spin before the clutch slips assuming that it is in good overall condition. The higher the clamping force the more wear on the crank thrust bearing and your left leg & knee! Some of the newer designs use different lever designs to reduce pedal effort while retaining clamping force. Contact a few of the major manufacturers tell them what you are working with and they can point you in the right direction. With a Cobra you need less clamping force than in a "Full Bodied Car" even though horsepower and torque is high, the tires become the determining factor.

Your leg will thank you, I have this T shirt.
