Jim,
If it all possible, I recommend trailering. I'm still fairly new at this too, and for my first several events, I drove my Cobra. Then I had a mechanical failure right at the end of the day once. If it weren't for some SUPER generous and helpful folks, I'd have been stranded 2 hours from hom. Would have been an expensive tow. Like Cranky said, there are plenty who drive, and on all my other trips, I had no troubles. But it's nice to trailer, just in case.
