Bomelia, Blue -
As I know it. AC stands for Auto Carriers.
The history of the British A.C. Company, the company that Shellby went to, goes back to the days when is was operated under the name of Auto Carriers - after WW1 it produced successful sports cars powered by Anzani engines.
The cars we are replicating stem from the British A.C. Company -A.C. Ace roadster, I believe this is the first one with the tubular frame, but I am not sure.
Bristol is actually and engine option that could be ordered for the AC Ace Roadster or the AC Aceca Coupe in the fifties - either a B type (105bhp) or a D type (120bhp).
Therefore when I wrote AC Bristol I was completely incorrect. My apologies.
Anyway.
The 351C scattershield is still available.
