Depends on the age of the block. IE early 60s can't take it but later ones can. Mine is at +60. Obviously only do enough to clean it as +60 pistons are harder to get hold of than +40.

Remember, +80 is actually a 406 bore (Although I've not seen anyone offereing 406 pistons)
