That's really interesting. I've never seen or heard of a solid lifter block with that late of a date code (79). And plus it would sport the MCC casting logo for a 73+ block for a 390. Maybe it's a fairly late 69 casting and sports the two dots under the 9 because it might have been designated for a 1970 car possibly???? Just guessing but I'll ask someone who knows for sure and get back to you. And also with no casting number and factory solid lifter block an odd one. I'll be back.....G.
