My neighbor is a retired Cal Trans Engineer and he has the best retirement I ever heard of. When he wants to he can go into the office and work a few hours and they will pay him at the end of the month the same as he was making when he was working. This is on top of his really good retirement pay and benefits. So every time he goes on vacation, he will run in and work enough hours to pay for the vacation. I think that instead of a Gold Watch, he got a Gold Shovel with a chin pad on it.
I just got off the phone with my home insurance company seeing about a home equity loan and they said they thought that I should be ok. They did a credit approval on me and it came back with an 810 rating out of a possible 1,000. Then I spent 20 minutes faxing them papers that they wanted to see, so I should know in a few days if I will get an approval or not. Then, most likely I will never borrow anything as I really just wanted to establish this as a back up for an emergency. But it will be nice to know if Iam considered a risk or not.
