Coil Spring Rates
Hey guys. I've been reading through this site for about 3 years, and have been registered for about that long. For most of this 3 year period my user name was different, and recently I re-registered under another user name, so I appear to be a newbie.
I need your opinions regarding front and rear spring rates that work well for you, and have met your needs while doing serious track driving.
I've owned this Hi-Tech Cobra for 11 years but have always used it as a cruise night vehicle. Now I'd like to use it occasionally for the reason the cars were originally intended.
My car is a big block FE, 4" double tube frame as per original car design, coil-overs at each corner, and IRS. I have a front stabilizer bar, but none yet on the rear. I'll be running vintage Goodyears, 6.00-15's and 8.00-15's.
What are your front and rear spring rate preferences, your handling observations, and recommendations?
