I sold a rebuildable (running) 428 for $1300 complete with a weiand intake. It was .020 over and needed another .010 to clean up.

Most 428's will go .030 with no problem. So verify the bore if you can. You might find a casting number and run it. I have 2 428's in my garage now that are worth $750 and $1000 for just for the block. One is a CX (CJ) block and one is a 1966 428 (correct for a 1967 GT 500... )

That said, I'd say a good 428 is worth easily $1000. More here in California.
