I just wish I photo documented everthing so I could remember better. One more thing the short Mustang trans kickdown lever was in the 12o'clock position and not in the 9o'clock like most passenger cars so a bracket on the bellhousing would probably do it for that side and because the carbs are set backwards a bracket to the rear carb stud on the passenger side so the cable could be pulled. Could make for a nice neat installation. I was thinking how to make it look without having a cable ten feet long and just thought I'd give my ideal. Please keep us posted and please upload some photos of your project.
