Thanks but I am only using Jaguar front hubs, and Thunderbird IRS rears!

strictlypersonal,

The machinist mentioned if I wanted to heat treat 4340 and it is not totally necessary but this could be done before the final machining is done. I guess what you are getting at is maybe similar, the spline broaching is done midway in the process, because it may distort the final result if the bearing surfaces were already done!!!
How are your pin drives held in do they have a nut on the rear of hub, and is it just the shank that locates or is there a shoulder?
