One piece Pin drive Hubs?
Here is a small breakdown of the project!
I am using Jaguar SIII uprights/hubs on the front, and Ford Thunderbird independent rear suspension, and will end up with custom brakes all round. I have a car being built in the UK at the moment Ram SC (Realm Engineering) Cobra which is setup for single shock/spring Jaguar IRS with braced suspension arm etc, but that setup will be changed for T/bird IRS, so I have a big job doing the numbers etc to fabricate double wishbone IRS, but I think its worth it for the weight and plus I have a nice Ford IRS alloy race setup diff unit/uprights etc in the shed.
Another issue is with the Reynard designed space frame chassis suspension, the front track is wider than normal, so I couldn't use Trigos or Vintage wheels. Custom 17" x10, 17" x 12" will probably be used, NZ made or Compomotive!
Regarding hubs, splines etc etc, I am also looking at Drivetrain.com they have these very HD 31 spline CV joints etc and 300m axles that fit the standard inner plunge CV, and if you want to retain your standard spline hub they have 4340 CV joint, but they make a larger splined wheel bearing hub to suit 31 spline, so this makes things more complicated as everything goes hand in hand, but I am starting to think adapters might be the way to go again, as on the front as you know the rotor goes on the inside of the hub, and on the rear I make the wishbones to suit a brake hat either on the inside of the hub (not much room) or outside, but then that could mean two sandwich plates behind the wheel (not that keen)!
I'll stop now, isn't car design fun!
