If you have time, you might be interested to know that the Bonneville "World of Speed" is the same week as the air races this year. Would be another 4 hours across the state to Wendover Utah.
Maybe a side trip to Provo to Kirkham?
I have a friend who races sport class, I am at Reno most every year.
