Of course I eventually got it at a price well over the $25K starting "bid". But that $25K initial number sure as heck generated maximum "buzz" concerning the car.
The car DID need a lot of work, in the end I would say "you get what you pay for". It would have been down right tragic for someone to have bought it at a "nice price" only to see that quickly eveaporate due to mounting "mechanic bills". I do most ALL of my own work, so for me it's been kind of cool working on it. I'm probably "into it" right at what it's worth by now, but who knows what the market will do!
