Not sure if cars are going up or down in price as I have not followed it lately (bought my ERA just after christmas). But lots of good advice here from other posters.

I looked for about 6 months to find the right car. My 1st choice was ERA, but was looking also at contemporary and SPF. I set a max budget I wanted to spend that was what I was comfortable with for a "toy". In the end I went over my buget, but not that much and I got the car I really wanted. But like said above expect to have to tweak and fix things... that is the nature of these cars and I actually enjoy doing it myself. In my case I am "de-tuning" my engine to more of my liking and it has (as they all do) turned into a bigger job then first thought.

My advice is to network with local cobra folks if possible to determine what you really want and check out for sales here, Cobra Country and EBAY daily. Also sometimes a "good deal" is not the best measure at the end of the day.

Good luck finding a ride!
