I made some fender protectors for my BDR. I used static cling limo tint from the local auto parts store. I had a few chips on my fenders and I touched them up before applying the film. I used the little squeege that was supplied with the tint and some water with a few drops of liquid dish soap in a spray bottle to apply. Make yourself a template out of paper then transfer to the film and cut it out. Takes a little time to get all the bubbles out and to stretch the film around the curves.

So far they have worked fine and it was an inexpensive experiment that seems to be doing the job. They have been on for about 300 miles. And they can be removed.
Thanks - I noticed that one of the advertiser's on the forum sold them - and wondered whether it would be as effective as a spray liner. I personally like the look of the smooth surface. Thanks for posting your success.
