I do not know how bad the chips are but the 3M, Venture or Avery product are good at hiding. Try to touch up the chips first and apply some of the film over it. The adhesive is thick as well as the film. You would be surprised how well this film hides chips and scratches. It's tough stuff. Ask a local installer for tips. Or ask me.
