I've always felt on a car as valuable as this, if the original color is documented as it is in this case, and it's to be restored it should be the original color.

I'm always amazed at how different various originals looked. The rear fender flairs on 3047 don't look at all like today's CSX, Kirkham, or ERA cars from the angle of the picture above in it's blue incarnation.
