Hello all! After running for a year, I pulled the side oiler out of the cobra and sent it off to Keith C. as it was in need of some major work. Now that the engine is done and on its way home, I am turning my attention to the reinstall. It has been 20+ years since I have installed an engine, so just consider me new. Let me first explain that I have not pulled the tranny out of my car and don't even know which Tremec it is. (I know, I should...but just never looked). It is one of the 5 speeds. I need some advice on clutch parts. The pressure plate that came out of the thing is pretty well hosed and the clutch plate is dang near down to the rivets. I cannot find any manufacture name on the clutch plate or pressure plate assembly. I did find the number pl-289F on the back of the pressure plate (plate itself) and found this..

I do have a 10 spline input (I have not measured the diameter) and the pressure plate by this page is 11 inches. It has 3 forks, not the radial array of forks that I have usually seen . Keith built my engine to 580hp/524ft lbs. So here are my silly, uneducated questions. I am getting ready to order the parts, and basically have no idea what to get. I will pull the tranny in the next couple of days. How do I identify which Tremec I have. What is your advice on the clutch/pressure plate kit? Brand? Can the pressure plate assembly be rebuilt/machined? I do not have a hydraulic throw out but the bearing. I will need a new bearing as well, but no numbers are on the current one I have. Boy, I know I sound stupid on this, but I have yet to have the time to get out and pull it all out and research it to get the right stuff. Any help is appreciated.
Dang, I would love to have this back together when the Tulsa meet is scheduled....
