There is just no reason for that type of stuff. We pay these people and they should do the work without having to be threatened.
I just got a call from a friend's wife in Chico last night. They hired one of their local computer gurus to upgrade their computer to XP Pro, and they have no sound. He told her that the speakers were bad and left and now they can't get hold of him. I had her read me some of the things she had in her sound settings and the fool never loaded the sound card. He has some kind of junk in there that I never heard of. And I told her I wasn't coming to Chico to straighten out what they paid that guy for. They can track him down and make him do the install correctly. I don't think they even have the XP upgrade program that he used as from what they said he just came in, did it and left. The sound was working great until he upgraded it and I would think that would tip him off that the speakers aren't bad. Boy, you can't get anything done in this area without a big mess and fight.
