I have the 427 so with 2x4 tunnel wedge twin 1850's. Two S&H air cleaners with the foam elements .The perforated metal rings are trimedon one side to create a taper.Front cleaner is partially under the hood.rear cleaner leaves a mark at rear of hood scoop.I've had the carb flanges milled and the intake to head surfaces milled to get the valve cover flange and ports all lined up to the point where I have to use RTV to seal the manifold to block ends.
I'm sure the restrictive aircleaners are limiting things. I bought two K&N 'E-2570 elements and can't use them ,They hold the hood up.I'm looking for a fix that would clear the hood ,take advantage of air at scoop and flow more clean air.Someone has to be making what I want.
