Mike:
You know my wife and I talked about that. The one we had was a beautiful car. We spent three years building it just the way we wanted it. When we were done it was a really nice car. It was featured on the cover of Kit Car Magazine in November of 2001.
We waited, to build it like we wanted. When we were done we won almost every show we put it in, in fact every show except the Yellow Rose show here in Fort Worth.
The only reason we sold it was while it was at a show a man wanted it much worse than we did. If I had it to do over again I would not have sold the car at all. Simply put it meant more to us than we thought.
We thought about getting an SPF to hold us over, and James Baldwin had a very nice one and the price was right. That was a very nice car. It was not the same quality as the one we built but it was a very nice car. We decided to wait.
We set our eyes on a Kirkham. I know the engine I want to put in it, a 427 SOHC Cammer with Webbers. No paint, except the frame. I would like to lay out some flames in the aluminum that are as ghost flames are on a painted car. It will have a rondel and the two stripes under the flames.
If we get a in between car it will simply add to the time it will take us to get the one we want.
