If the budget allows go for leather!

I re-upholstered mine for about $1,000 including piled carpet floor mats.

Basically I replaced the el cheapo carpet (the office type that frays, bobbles and sticks to your feet) with leather.

Passenger side is all leather and driver's side is leather for two thirds of the footwell. Remaining is piled carpet.

Stuck heat matting under all leather (mainly to stop the heat transmitting through) as in summer my legs would end up sweating!
