Default 1969 Shelby GT500 Fastback for sale

Now accepting serious offers on a good friends "Concourse driven" 1969 Shelby GT500 fastback.

Paperwork includes invoice from Gotham Ford, a Bill Kolb dealership, original , invoice from Lois Eminger, and various shipping memos, some with handwritten , notes with log of other Shelbys that came on the same rail, owners manual., Options from factory, PS, Power Disk Brakes, tilt away steering wheel, Air Conditioning, Intermittent wipers, Heavy duty battery, Fold down rear seat, AM-FM Stereo Radio, Tinted glass, SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed, F60x15 super low profile Goodyear Polygas belted tires, Car still has all these options except for the auto transmission, which had been , replaced by a period and concourse correct close ratio 4 speed. AC and compressor are in working order, however there has been no freon in , the system since I've owned the car. I have a repro Autolite battery, for MCA and SAAC sponsored events. This car has won the Popular vote class at numerous SAAC conventions over the last 15 years, it has also won numerous Gold Awards at multiple MCA shows in the Concours driven class. Some of the MCA events were, MCA National Gold Award in Charlotte, twice at MCA Nationals, One Gold in Matthews, NC at an MCA National, One Gold award in NJ at the Garden State, NJ MCA National, One Award of Excellence in Charlotte,NC 1996,at the 30th anniversary event of the Mustang, One Award of Excellence in 2001 in Commerce, Ga at the MCA 35th Anniversary event, and for the 40th Anniversary, Numerous Silver awards were won prior to those before purchasing the concourse correct smog control unit from note Mustang & Shelby restorer Bob Perkins. The beginning life of this car started as a drag racer, it held the record 9 times in Islip, LI as told to the seller by the original owner. It sat for many years after the close of Islip dragway until it was sold. My friend is the 2nd registered owner of the car since new, and has owned the car over 15+ years. This car has only been driven 63,552 since new. The car was restored to concourse condition 15 years ago and has held up wonderfully. It has not seen rain in 12 years and has never seen snow in it's lifetime. It does not get washed, rather the body is wiped down with a show glaze, as is the chassis. Car is garaged 24/7 unless the owner is taking it to an event. This car has the original motor and does indeed have the partial VIN stamped on the back of the engine block as all Shelby automobiles of this year did. Interior is all original except the dash pad which was replaced with the correct NOS AC dash from FORD All parts not original that have been replaced with MCA approved replacements with Concourse showing in mind. The pictures speak for themselves, however, if you should have any serious questions, do not hesitate to ask, as the seller has nothing to hide with the sale of this superb 69 GT500 Shelby fastback.
