I believe that this sort of thing is why they (the sewing machine drivers) have their own race sanctioning body. So they can live in their self made dream world. There is no doubt in my mind that there are some incredibly fast imports out there but to make one that fast it seems you have to have mega bucks. I don't know if you guys remember when you were teenagers but when I was there I didn't have that kind of cash and it seems that V8s are still the best bang for the buck. My daily driver is a stock 1988 Saleen, nothing real special in the power dept. The other day this kid in an RSX jumps on me, normally I don't get sucked into these things but the road was empty, the weather was good,....... what the hey. After spanking him for two lights he pulls up and is dumbfounded by the fact that he got beat, by a MUSTANG. I just told him that it was simple math, nothing cosmic or magic about it. Who knows he might be reading "Hot Rod" now rather than "Import Tuner." LOL
