Phil, Let me give ya a word of advice..

Like you, I have a son but a bit older than yours. This son of mine has absolutely no taste for good machinery as he drives a very strong restored HSV.

He has had his eyes on the cobra for years and I've told him I'll leave it to him when I kick the bucket.

Now... every time he comes over with a 6 pack I've got to check that they've not been tampered with. I'm sure he's trying to get rid of me.

However, like you, I'm a great believer in driver training courses and they have been the "gift" that his mother and I have given him for Birthdays etc. on more than one occasion. He has thoroughly enjoyed these courses and this I believe has been the reason he has not gotten into any trouble driving.

Problem is, he can sure pedal a car around a course and now gives his "old man" a bit of a hurry up.
