I had to make an emergency road trip to Vegas. A friend agreed to take Jason or AZ JOKER his Spec Racer on Tuesday. This friend or Vic the owner of the Cobray I showed @ Knotts this year left about 3 PM for Vegas. At 4;30 I got an SOS from Nothing AZ. as he blew his engine and needed me to get trailer and Jason's car.
A local dealer just installed an intake gasket under warr. on his tow rig. About 80 miles from Phx. it leaked coolant into rear cylinders bending the rods so it got towed back to dealer.
We then towed Jason's baby into Vegas and delivered the next morning. You should have seen the look on their face with it now in their garage , it was great.
On way home we could see nothing but smoke on the mountains for miles. On the I10 hwy. about 20 miles from home you could see the fires running across the whole range Mt. tops with what looked like about 2 miles of solid fire. Very sad ending to a great feeling mixed with a ****ty/expensive trip. The good thing is Jason and Angelina have their Toy home.
