427sharpe your info has been great...

I've got a quick question regarding these casting numbers however,

The engine that came with this tranny is a 351W with the casting number C90E-6015-B, and the heads that were on it have a D00E casting number...
I'm just confused on how a 1969 car can have a '69 block, but with 1970 heads? Were these actually manufactured like that? or were the heads more likely swapped later on?
