I am switching to the 9 inch K&N, in the near future. It flows plenty with the max top.

I have been using the 10" model a lot of people use. Any more and I will have to paint the inside of my hood.

It is not the standing height that kills, it's the rocking of the engine as you show-off. The air cleaner just touches the hood.

Try using clay or playdooh to check for clearance.
