Trying to identify the source of leak on my Tremec 3550. I noticed what appears to be a vent on top of the cover and there's a similar one on top of the shifter cover. However, they are not shown in the parts mannual.
Can anyone confirm that these are vents and if so, can they be the leak source? What would cause fluid to come out of the vent and how do I prevent it?
Will also take off the cover plate and re-seal it as well.
