This may not help your situation but here goes - I have a Tremec 3550
and had a problem with the clutch slipping - noticed some leakage at the
base of the flywheel cover and pulled the tranny. Turned out to be the
front seal on the input shaft of the tranny was leaking, not much, but enough
to get on the clutch disk and cause it to slip. Put in a new seal and clutch
disk and no more slippage. This was a new transmission so I'm not sure
why the seal leaked. There was nothing on the transmission like in your
picture.
