All, the pipes sound CRISP and they growl! They are measurably louder than the stock offering, but I am very, very happy with this mod! I think I've said it here before, but I honestly feel that the car now sounds like a Cobra should. So many people think I'm running a BB since the change.... BTW, I do wear ear plugs, even around town. Not going to chance losing my hearing (not to say that rock concerts and weekends at the drag strip 20-25 years ago haven't already done damage, but why chance it?).

Dean,
Now that you've had the new 3" SSS (not Dynomax ) mufflers installed for a while, what do you think? Are they too loud and what performance difference did you notice with the change? Did you notice any loss of torque with less backpressure or more power up in the 4K+ rpm range?

One of my ERA sidepipes is possibly starting to rattle inside and I'm considering cutting them open and going with an auger or Dynomax 3" mufflers. I'm still looking for someone with an ERA with stock sidepipes (2.5" ID) that may have changed them out for comparison to either the auger style or the Dynomax. My car is fairly loud today with the stock 2.5" ID glass paks and my particular cam, but a little louder would be okay too and possibly worth trying.

Your thoughts?

Thanks
