Backing up data is a hassle no matter how you do it. I've used and use several different methods, don't like any of them.

Old school was "tapes" and "floppies", that really sucked. New school is CD or DVD, better, not perfect.

I like the "dual drive" method myself. TWO hard drives identical to each other, C and D. I work on C and "copy" important files to D. I tried the "image" and "mirror" thing, I find it easier just to "copy" and often "over write" the old stuff with the new stuff. Dual hard drive, as easy as it going to get.
