Smile Mustang....

Why don't you simply finish your Mustang build, get it sorted, and sell it
outright? Then you can approach the
cobra market with cash in hand. Not that
cobra people have anything against Fox
body Mustangs, but I think you'll have to
wait quite a while before someone comes
along willing to do a trade. Most people
selling cobras are selling them because
they either want or need the money for
something like renovating the house or
paying college tuition for the kids or they
want to build or acquire another cobra.
Bear in mind that regardless of what
you invest in a car, it is only worth what
someone is willing is to pay for it. So if
you have $35K invested in the Mustang,
you will probably not realize anywhere
near that amount when trying to sell it.
By offering a finished, sorted car, you'll
probably be able to sell it faster, a
turnkey driver with a transferable
registration is far more attractive to
potential buyers than a semi-complete
car that the buyer has to finish out and
then go through the attendant registration and emission control hassles.
