Bill: Thank for getting this together. I'm now over how disappointed I was with how my engine ran at Scott Performance.
It was recommended that I go up a couple of jet sizes, which I am ready to do, but it is obvious that I need a much less restrictive air cleaner (700+ CFM). The Cobra air cleaner that came with my car flows 950 CFM with a K&N E-1963 filter, but is so long that I would have to remove my nifty (and expensive) puke tank. I suppose I'm going to have to remove my turkey pan, but there still isn't room for an air cleaner that will flow enough. I'd really like to stick with some kind of K&N filter, as I like their technology, but there is no obvious choice. I'm not desperate enough to uglify my bonnet with a giant scoop, but I wonder if I could live with the rear of the bonnet raised a little, to make room for a taller filter. Perhaps the K&N 66-3040 Drop Base? I've written K&N to see if they can help.
Anyway, if you still have room, I think I'll be ready to join you folks April 1, say the late shift, so I can have breakfast at Baji's earlier. But I will need more info than at Scott's. Especially more thorough A/F statistics, and perhaps CFM measurements as well. I'm looking forward to getting some more beans showing at the rear wheels this time!
