Stephen, the center of a jag diff is solidly mounted on the G-force. The brake calipers are mounted to the diff center and as such don't move with the lower suspension arms.

You can use hard lines just like the jag but as Mike says, it is best to use flex as you can then clamp them out of harms way a lot easier.

There is however, a hard line that connects the two halves of each caliper...make sure this line isn't crimped or been damaged.
