For what it is worth, the exhaust shop had to make some major repairs to the right header--one cracked primary tube, ports in the header flange where it mounts to the cylinder head did not line up with the ports in the cylinder head, resulting in leaks and restricted exhaust flow; someone at the factory or at the dealer had made a vertical cut in the flange between the middle cylinders on the right bank for some unknown reason, etc. I'm the original owner of the car but I did not install the engine, and the header was supplied by the local BDR dealer.

I love this car but I've spent most all the time I've owned it fixing stuff that should have been working right from the beginning--replaced the alternator 3 times, had numerous coolant leaks and oil leaks, found gaskets that had been re-used instead of replaced with new, had to drop the tank and fix the fuel level sending unit and replace leaking gasket at the sending unit mount, found a secondary jet just laying in the float bowl, found a lateral positioning spring for the right parking brake assy rear shoe all bent up laying in the park brake drum (which was making a squeaking noise and occasionally giving the car a pretty good "THUNK" noise--the dealer insisted that it was just the backing plate rubbing on the drum/disc assy), dash instruments held on by only one attach knob instead of two, leaky oiil pressure gauge, windshield posts attached to the frame with only two 6 mm bolts on each side; March pully bracket reamed out by hand drill to make it fit, then covered up with large washers, etc., etc., etc.

But man I LOVE this car!

The flanges seem to work pretty nice and weren't too difficult to have installed.

I bought the flanges like you did from GCP and I have them sitting in a drawer in my garage. One day soon I will follow Bills simple instructions and get this mod done. For now my exhauast is not to bad and can wait but I thought I would get prepared as I know it will only get worse.
