The CA registration process is for specially constructed vehicles - meaning vehicles that have been constructed and do not have a previous/registered/valid VIN. It doesn't matter if you built it from the ground up, purchased a kit, or even a roller. Registering a car using SB100 is pretty painless....... if (and it is a big IF)... if you can get one of the 500 SB100 numbers.
