I have a BDR #230 with top loader and a big block 427, I did not install either my self but they did have to cut tunnel and add a bump out on driver side to let the linkage clear. I could post a picture but I don't know how yet. You may want to re think installing one, for one it doesn't look as clean on the inside although carpet covers the bump out. And if you have 373 gears as I do it would be nice to have a 5th gear ( 60 MPH @ 3000 RPM ).
