Brake line tubing makes perfectly good fuel lines. I've been using it for a long time. Stainless is probably better but much harder to find. Don't use copper. It tends to crack after a few years of vibration.

Some racing rules require less than 1 foot (12 inches) of rubber hose in the entire fuel system. I use 3/8 inch brake line for all the other lines.
