I recently talked to the 2nd owner of ERA154. When he got the car (in the 80's) it had DOVE alloy heads. He replaced them with the current iron high riser heads and 2X4 intake from a "Thunderbolt" engine. Said the iron heads made more horse than the DOVE heads did. The iron heads were worked over for better flow. BUT, that was in the 80's, maybe DOVE heads are better now, maybe it's still hard to beat a good set of iron heads?

I know high riser heads are pretty hard to come by now, not to mention the original 2X4 alloy Ford matching intake.
