Default ebay scams!

I recently responded to an ad on ebay for a 60's shelby GT500 by Unique for a buy it now price of $9,000, could not believe it and in my moment of light headedness I emailed the seller. Turned out to be a scam from a foreign country.(which I would have figured out imediatly if I had pulled my head out of my a**!) I soon figured that it was a scam and the "scamers had highjacked another, innocent ebay user's account info to post the ad. What they were doing was trying to get somebody to use a bogus escrow company to do the deal and you would never hear from them agian. Needless to say I reported the ad immediatly. I do not know what ebay is doing exactly to eliminate this type of activity but since then I have run into at least two other obvious scams on ebay. Makes me a little leary of doing exchanges on ebay, at least for big ticket items. And also I wonder how easy is it to steal someones ebay account info to use it for these type of scams???.
