Carn't compare apples with oranges.

Most kits in Oz would cost the average builder 40 to 60k at a guess. A few would be more expensive.

Cameron bought a factory built turn key minus SPF, sourced a motor & transmission, had a 302 stroked to 347, had the 347 emission tested (expensive as I understand it as it's not based on a ford production emission friendly engine), added a/c & roof, and had the whole lot certified by an engineer for Australian Design Rules compliance.

Plus he's added some nice shiny bits

I doubt (and I'm only guessing here) that all of that in Oz would give you much change from 160K.

The only problem I see with the price is what massed produced factory cars you can buy for that price. Eg BMW M3, Porche Caymen, Merc SLK 550 AMG etc etc.

So I would guess that the buyer of Cam's SPF would most likely already have at the very least, one of the aforementioned cars.......
