You brake hanging up was probably your emergency brake. They are inside your rear disc brake rotor and are identicle to the old drum brakes they used to put on cars. Let it hang up a little, it will wear away soon enough, remember the emergency brakes never wear out unless you forget to take them off so it you wear a little away do not worry about it.
