Yea, their Earthquake movies are not well done at all. I have seen three that were shot in this area with Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen and none of them ever remotely resembled what happens in an earthquake. No Earthquake lasts for 20 minutes like their movie ones does. And in one they had a crack in the ground following a train out of Redding for almost 10 miles winding around the curves the track took before it caught the train. Then as soon as it caught up and the train fell in, the crack stopped immediately. They have shot a lot of movie scenes in this area, some of the Clint Eastwood and Audie Murphey movies had scenes shot here. Also some military scenes that were supposedly in a foreighn country were shot over by the dam back before 9-11. No wonder people who watch these movies think Earthquakes are so bad. I will take one of them any day over a hurricane or tornado. I have been through all three, and believe me I was far more scared in the Hurricane as it did seem to last forever and I was in an underground shelter.
