yeah, yeah. old news. But, at 'special request' here are a few of my favorites. Will add more to gallery as I get time. We had a fun fun time, and i only wish I had a pic of Colleen falling outta those shoes! Darn, betcha I get it next year! Hey, who brought all that red and blue stuff!??? Dangerous stuff that is! Whew!
Enjoy!
I pulled in on Thursday evening, and immediately jumped out to let John Ross park the big rig. He hadn't gotten into his refreshment too much, so was able to park thanks to the excellent directing by Freddie
Got all checked in, and stumbled across this little pre-party in action. Alan, that you????
aka- Elmer Fudd!
* Enjoying BBQ at Rudy's. Cammer, John, Greg, hey, is that you Colleen??? Alan, David and Matt
well, depending on how you look at it, I was either in good company, or bad company. Hmmm. I'll let you decide.... (Freddie, my two johns, and Doug) yeah, I'd say it was a toss up!
We LOVED the Oasis! What a perfect cruise to the restaurant, and, what a perfect place for the casual Friday cruise. Really sunny, but not too hot yet. We had a great time just relaxing and enjoying the view. I had iced tea, of course.
At the risk of repeating myself, I think this next photo is great! I wish I had a copy of the 'other' photo... I think Doug has that one, and is saving it to blackmail me or Freddie, or, oh himself???
Nice shot of part of the group...
This isn't the Famous Flyin' Freddie, but rather the Famous Cookin' Freddie. (the Texas sun was a little strong for our Tennessee friend)
Gary and me. His new csx FINALLY made it to it's First TCC spring meet. Thumper and Pepe.
I am totally responsible for him buying his new car, right???!!!
It's a bit deeper blue than Pepe, and the stripe is a creamier color. It looks really really nice. Glad to see ya, Gary.
I think I've been 'banned' from mentioning the unmentionables, but there it is, hanging from David's mirror. I DID NOT PUT IT THERE! I believe it has found a new home in Houston???
Saturday morning, bright and early. We line up for the big group shot, then head out for the looonnngg way to the restaurant. We went to the River City Grill in Marble Falls, TX. Nice windy, (as in twisty turvy) hilly, blind curve bottom dropped out tummy rolling curves kind of road. Those cattle guards would kinda catcha by surprise! bump bump bump bump bump bump bump... geez look in the mirror, did anything fall off???? No??? Are you sure????
We take the long way to the restaurant, the quick way back home.
Behind Keith and Shelly Craft on the way to the Grill. Man, He NEVER puts on the brakes! The only way I knew we must be coming up on a fast, tight turn was he'd just flick the brakes for a few seconds- I guess enough to warn me to watch out! So I wouldn't run into the back of that purty purty car.
(this was 'in town' on the way to the cruise. Couldn't manage the camera and the roads at the same time!) sorry!
Geez, I just hate high interchanges!! (remember my 'high five' incident). Sat under this for a couple of light cycles. Awful! This is looking STRAIGHT UP! I was hoping nothing would fall off........
Finally, the big meeting after lunch. One nomination from the floor for the new TCC prez. All nominations closed, and David Shelton is elected by unanimous vote to be the new TCC prez for 2006. Lucky dog. His first and only duty as Prez?? Get his own name inscribed on the plaque! yeah, lucky dog.
It was all very touching, and we were in tears by the end of his acceptance speech. Lucky dog.
Victory party for David that night in the parking lot. We had a lot to celebrate! here, Gary and Dennis model the latest TCC sportwear. Gee, Gary, maybe it would fit if you lost just a few little lbs! Dennis, where's your's???
John Ross, better known as 'crash', and James Yates, better known as 'speed racer' pit finger to finger in the big race- the Christmas Tree brought down and sponsored by Rob at KC in Plano. I'm sure James was the winner, right??? oh, that isn't James running the race at all! James is just 'pit crew'. Who's the kiddo? I'm not sure. Sorry!
I thought the flames on this car looked pretty good. Don't know who it belongs to, but anyway, here's the pic!
That wraps up most of my photos. I'll add a few more to my gallery sometime. I think I forgot to take anymore photos Saturday night, because well i forgot. That's the story and I'm sticking to it.... Actually, blame it on the Houston group. They had all this red and blue stuff. Actually, it was Chris N. that brought the blue stuff. I think this was an awesome meet this year. We had a lot of fun just hanging around the parking lot. It was pretty windy, (as in the wind blew
), but at least it wasn't freezing cold! Thanks to the Houston gang for letting the Dallas group crash their hotdog/hamburger movie fest on Saturday. I think we could have partied all night! Ya'll are sooo much more organized than we are. My hats off to you all. hey, and Debbie, the tshirts, jackets and hats are all WONDERFUL. Thanks for getting it all together. Everybody is really pleased.
Looking forward to next year.
whooohoooo!!!

* technical photo change. sorry, Missy
