OK, had lunch at Grandma's Restaurant and visited the Fairgrounds in Belvidere. Talked to the owner of the restaurant and he said there is no problem accommodating a dozen or more people at
around 9 am on Saturday. ( There maybe the next time, after we resurface his parking lot Saturday!

From our old meeting point, the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Elgin ( now permanently closed as you remember ),
drove west on I-90 for 30 miles and exited at the Genoa / Belvidere Rd off ramp.
To get to Grandma's Restaurant : Once you get off the ramp turn Right at Genoa / Belvidere Rd., counting that traffic light, at the 3rd light turn Left at Rt. 20, and at the 3rd light again make another left and Grandma's will be in front of you.
To get to the Fairgrounds without going to the restaurant: After you get off of the I-90 exit you drive straight across Rt. 20 for about 4 miles and the fairgrounds will be on the right side, you cannot miss them, there are lots and lots of white tents already set up.
To caravan, we can meet at the now defunct Cracker Barrel parking lot, say at 8:00 or 8:30 AM and jump on I-90 West. If someone lives west of there, we could meet at the restaurant or anyplace else you suggest.
