This is the first I've heard about marks on the material. I guess a few marks on the 3M would be better than the marks on the paint. The 3M material could always be removed and replaced. There is a 5 year warranty for discoloration. But, if it's junk, I'd rather not part with the cash.

Anybody else have any insight?
