Default Fresh air for the cockpit (top up)

I searched this topic (fresh air vents) and found the most current comments 2 to 3 years old. I was wondering if anyone had any recent thoughts / experiences with running fresh air from the brake vents to the custom dash on the CR. I will be following the advise of others to first: creamic coat headers and side pipes, and second to properly insulate the foot boxes.
My concern is not so much heat in the footbox, but for the desire to have some fresh air when the top & side curtains are in place. Especially when not moving and during rain or humid conditions. Does anyone see any errors in my logic? Looking for critical & constructive comments.
Has anyone actually installed this through the custom dash vents? Has anyone used the parts sold by Earls Creature Comforts (http://home.mindspring.com/~egroce/)? Anyone found any other sources of components? Already thought of vintage air, but they only seem to carry the vents and hose. Also looking for powered blowers, and shut offs.
